I believe it's a toy museum, I don't know if it's still open. It used to have a web page.

In all my years I have never ever seen a Gurkha wearing one of these! |

Can you prove that? Not that I'm a doubter, just asking cos it looks like somebody else will.

This seller certainly appears to have no shortage of customers, I am quite surprised really.

That it comes from the toy museum (see post 14).
We seem to have had a mini-rash of persons joining the forum and immediately setting up a spirited defence of dealers who have a particularly bad rep. |

Perhaps merely coincidental or perhaps an existing customer or even the dealer concerned?

One can only wonder.

Oddly enough the last time I read ‘I’m new to this forum but...’ in defence of a fake item being sold it was in fact the dealer selling it posting in support of himself under a pseudonym. |

Well, as a forger he should try and learn some basic facts: the supposed RSI, Italian Social Republic 1944 dated flag he's got for sale is supposed to hang from the pole the other way round, the green side next to the staff, not the red one! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rare-1944...cAAOSwE9xdn4D9

The Gurkha hat mentioned earlier is a complete fantasy item. Not even a serious attempt. anyone bidding on that deserves to lose their money.

Post WW2 SAS Jungle Hat
Hello Forum
If you had given me a chance to answer Simon Butterworth's question, I would have. Instead, I now find somebody else has answered it for me (missing one very important point) and six other people have dived in and commented, including one who is more or less accusing me of being the dealer. I told you I was new to this forum, so I have no idea what has been discussed about them before and believe me I have nothing to gain by sticking up for them and was merely going to share the positive things that I do know about them. But it seems a number of you have already made your minds up, and I do not wish to get into an argument, so I will leave this particular thread. I hope next time I post something it gets a more positive response. Thank you. Trog22 |
