North Staffordshire Regiment WW1 Attributable Group
A group of badges all of which belonged to Private Reginald Harvey Brittain 7th Norfolks and 2/6th and 9th (Pioneers) North Staffs. He has gone to some trouble to inscribe the slider of his cap badge which incidentally has no 'sweat' holes.

Hey Mark, how rare is it to find an inscribed slider? Nice group by the way.

Not common to see a service number but this one to the same regiment was on ebay recently. Regards, Paul.

Thanks Paul, that would be a great find to do research on. As you can tell I'm on a steep learning curve with regards to the intricacies of this subject. I predict I will be asking lots of questions for a long time

"sweat holes"
I think this is a good indication that not all Great War badges had "sweat holes". This was I think due to the manufacturers process more than anything else.

Rarer patterns of the shoulder titles too.
