As RIC V1 77a, but with delta officina.

The above is the name of the Consular Legate P. Furius Pontianus.
E in right field = 5 Assaria.

After losing in battle against Elagablus they were both executed.

As of Rome struck 274 AD.
Ob: Laurate cuiriassed bust right. IMP ARELIANVS AVG.
Rev: Aurelian clasping hands with his wife Severina bust of Sol between their heads. CONCORDIA AVG. Delta in exergue.
Struck to celebrate Severina's elevation to Avgvsta.
Aurelian was murdered by a group of his senior officers.

Rev: Eagle standing right wreath in beak and palm branch under wing.

After the murder of her husband Aurelius (see above) she was the only woman to rule in her own right untill Tacitus succeded in Sept 275 AD.

Pius ruled for 22 years 7 months and 25 days, died of natural causes aged 74.

With Mark Antony at battle of Philippi 42 BC.
With Mark Antony in Parthia when their fighting retreat saved the whole army. 36 BC.
With Mark Antony at Battle of Actium 31 BC, after this defeat all 19 legions of Antony were intergrated into Octavians army.

After losing to the Syrian legions of Valens at the battle of Thyatira he was beheaded his reign lasted eight months.
Coin in poor condition when shown under magnification much nicer in hand.

Milne 4330 Sear 11721.
Vaballathus was proclaimed Augustus by his mother Zenobia in Palmyra in AD 272. Eventually Aurelians army retook Alexandria defeated Zenobia sent her and her son to Rome and they were never heard of again.
