Default WW2 Canadian Parachute Corps Badge

Hello,

That attached photos are from a badge listed on ebay. I believe it's a good WW2 period badge but would be interested to hear other opinions?

Thanks

Paul

Hello Gents,

Thanks for the replies.

I didn't end up bidding on the badge as I was unsure and only seen your replies after it ended so it sounds like someone got a nice badge.

I'll wait for the next one to come along.

Thanks

Paul

It does suck to miss out on a good item but it just goes to reinforce the need to learn to identify original items so that a decision can be made in a timely manner. Obviously we can't all know everything but if there is something that is on our want's list it would be prudent to begin researching it before the opportunity to purchase presents itself.

Luckily for you Paul, these badges come up for sale quite regularly and there are lots of examples of original badges available online, including this forum. Good luck!

I certainly agree with the need to research every item you intent to buy especially when it's as expensive as a Canadian Parachute Corps Badge.

I'm currently working in Mongolia away from my reference and simply wanted a seconded opinion as the photos weren't the best.

I'm hoping it will be a good collecting year and the early appearance of a nice rare badge in January bodes well.

Thanks and good collecting

Paul

Ah yes, I too know what it's like to try to collect while being separated from the collection and reference materials. Best of luck to you!
