Default Australian Army Parachute Jump Instructor's (Freefall Instructor) badge

Australian Army Parachute Jump Instructor's (Freefall Instructor) badge - current issue and very rare given the small number of PJI Freefall instructors.

Prior to 2007 they wore the normal silver PJI badge.

I have a spare one of these for sale in the classified area as well :-)

Here's the super rare burnished gold version.

Further to the burnished gold version above, I was informed that they were ordered by the Army Parachute School @ Nowra, NSW, sent there from the manufacturer but were rejected for being too close to the standard pewter PJI badge.

All spares were also quickly snaffled up by those there

Hence hard to find these days.

I hope no one has purchased any of these PJI badges on ebay thinking they are authentic - highly suspect IMHO.

The seller (well known within Australian militaria circles) has a somewhat dubious reputation (he ripped me off as well on ebay a number of years ago).

I believe them all to be reproductions.
