Default Hello all

Good evening everyone,

Although I've been a member for a while, I realised I've never made an introduction.

I discovered this forum whilst researching my family military history, and although I've not made any contribution myself to the forum (purely as I don't have the knowledge), it has been very informative, and I enjoy reading the posts.

I'm fortunate enough to be custodian of several items belonging to my Great Grandfathers who served during the FWW including cap badge, ID bracelet and medals from my GGF in the 2nd A&SH and a 16th Royal Scots ToS and bible from another GGF, and cap badge, shoulder titles and medals from another GGF in the Royal Engineers.

I'm also interested in the Tyneside Scottish (particular the 2nd TS) and have been on the site recently looking at the several posts on identifying a genuine badge from the FWW, there are several online for sale but I'm still wary on what could be an original (any pointers to a genuine one for sale would be appreciated)

Thanks again for letting me join.

Gaz
