Default RNXS / AFCA

Hi, can anyone tell me a bit about these?

I know quite a bit about the RNXS and RNMWS but am keen to learn more about the AFCA which from a website I found, I believe stands for Admiralty Ferry Crews Association but have also heard called the Admiralty Ferry CRAFT Association? the other title of Auxiliary Ferry Craft Association I think is incorrect?

Does anyone have any definative facts about this organisation and did they wear any other insignia? I'm particularly interested in why the design of both variants of the RNXS and AFCA are virtually identical? was there a relationship between the two, especially as they were both essentially civilian organisations.

Regards tony
