Could anyone on the forum help me in finding out what cap badge this short lived unit wore, in Westlakes book it is s/title 700, 1/C/RA/BECCLES it was formed in 1906 and affiliated to the 1st Norfolk Artillery Volunteers until 1908 when they were transferred to the 3rd East Anglian Bde RFA and wore 1/C/RFA/BECCLES.

Any help would be appreciated.

Since I posted this thread, I have been told that they wore a pillbox type of hat without a cap badge. Any photos would be appreciated.

Hi,

I believe this unit lasted from 1906 to 1943 in various guises. Post 1908 I think they probably wore the RA gun, but latterley the Suffolk Regt badge.

Stephen.
