Honourable Artillery Company Badge
I'm thinking it's WW1, from K&K, but not sure the definition isn't great.

HAC
The badge is that of the Infantry Battalion of the HAC as worn up to the time of the coronation in 1953, when the battalion reverted to its old traditional way of wearing silver/white metal where the Grenadier Guards wore brass and vice versa.
In 1953 a white metal badge was introduced in place of the brass one. Then at some time after that (I dopn't know when) a gilded badge was introduced and as far as I know is still in current usage although the Infantry Battalion of the HAC no longer exists in its old form.

HAC badge
To be more explicit over my previous post, the Infantry Battalion of the HAC disappeared into 162 O.C.T.U. with WW2, but in 1942 a Cadet Battalion HAC was raised at Mansion House, London, with HQ at Armoury House, City Road, London, E.C.1. and they wore the brass grenade badge of the Infantry Bn, and took over the duties in supplying guards of honour at Guildhall and the Mansion House on many official occasions. The Cadets even got involved with firing salutes at the Tower of London in the absence of the Batteries who unlike the Infantry Bn. saw service overseas as a composite unit.
The Infantry Battalion reformed in 1947, with the Cadet Bn still carrying out ceremonial duties until 1948. Sadly the very fine Cadet Battalion was disbanded in 1958.
