Help identifying a badge?
Hi all,
I have a family photo but I am really struggling to identify the unit. There is a partial shoulder patch that can be seen - does anyone have any ideas what it is? Any information (badge or otherwise) would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance |

Thanks all.
I'm afraid I have no information of his military service at all except this photo and that he served in WW2. His name was Frederick Ward, son of Frederick and May. He was born 9th March 1918. Thanks again |

Help identifying a badge
For what it's worth, definitely concur. The formation badge in the image is WWII British Army XII Corps in printed configuration.

Hi all,
Thanks again to all who helped previously to identify the shoulder badge as XII corps. Just revisiting this family member and wondered if there were any other clues in this photo which might aid me in tracking the right chap? I can see no other insignia (is this unusual? I don't know if the roping around the shoulder/armpit indicates anything?) but maybe there are other clues? Thanks in advance! |
