Default Silent Witness, BBC 1

Anyone able to identify what at first glance appear to be ‘hybrid’ badges on tonights silent witness episode?

The TRF appears to be 51st Brigade oversewn onto a RHA D/Z patch. The collar dogs are HUGE! Any suggestions?

Ok, my suggestion. It's a 2 part hybrid, made to present as a non descript 'regiment'.

The rear 'star's is almost certainly a Royal Regiment of Gloucestershire and Hampshire cap badge.

Stuck over the central rose, I suspect could be a Sheffield University OTC collar badge.

Both anodised alluminium.

Any advance on that?

By Jove, I think you have it there.

I also spotted a second hybrid TRF, an Engineer trf oversewn on a light blue plain square, similar to 23 Eng. Regt. but wrong colour blue.
