Unknown wings "TS" and "TMS"
Hoping for a positive identification of these two gilt metal and enamel wings. "TMS" on one and "TS" on the other. Both measure 64 mm at the widest extent X 20 mm diameter of the enameled circle. Brooch pin back. Maker marked on reverse:"TOYE & CO.LD. LONDON."
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! |

There is a lot of confusion regarding the TMS wing.
In the dress regulations this was introduces in 1941 as a combination badge of T (Telegrafist=Radio operator/Signaller) and MS (Mitrailleurschutter=Machine-gunner/Airgunner). The M wing (Mechanic) was not introduced until 1946. |
