After a long search -Welsh Horse officers
After a very long search I've finally found a large gilt Welsh Horse button.
On worn by officers of the regiment from 1914-1918,which probably accounts for it's scarcity. Maker marked Firmin & Sons Ld -London, and now the pride of my Yeomanry collection. |

Definitely not my area, but that doesn't prevent me from appreciating what it feels like to acquire a long-sought after item.
Well done that man, and thanks for posting it. PJ |

If the Welsh Horse buttons have been faked then the fakes are rarer than the originals. What are the distinguishing features of a 'fake' WH button ? David

The reference was to the cap badges...... and even the shoulder titles. Just look on eBay.
