Default After a long search -Welsh Horse officers

After a very long search I've finally found a large gilt Welsh Horse button.
On worn by officers of the regiment from 1914-1918,which probably accounts for it's scarcity.
Maker marked Firmin & Sons Ld -London, and now the pride of my Yeomanry collection.

Definitely not my area, but that doesn't prevent me from appreciating what it feels like to acquire a long-sought after item.

Well done that man, and thanks for posting it.

If the Welsh Horse buttons have been faked then the fakes are rarer than the originals. What are the distinguishing features of a 'fake' WH button ? David

I didnt say the button is fake?

The reference was to the cap badges...... and even the shoulder titles. Just look on eBay.
