USA SHOULDER TITLE
This is a WW2 style lug back brass title that appears to have USA letters.Who and when would this have been worn by? Thanks

The style of lettering suggests hand made. I have a brass Fiji title on an RAF rank slide, and a loose identical one JRGaunt marked.

I'd think it was possibly theatre made, and could be for any one of a number of units.
The Civilian Technical Corps was a radar unit made up of US civilians serving under the Air Ministry. They are known to have worn a number of unofficial items. Not being regulation, I think you'd be hard pressed to find a confirmed answer. |
