Default Royal Sussex VB

Hope someone can help. I discovered a Royal Sussex Regiment 1st Volunteer Battalion badge while tidying up my collection, probably had it for 30 odd years. Pic attached. Any info appreciated. Thanks Melg

Used to have a Royal Sussex collection not one that I would had places in my collection. Repro/fake badge the 1st volunteer scroll is wrong -should be under the Royal Sussex. Many of these fake V.B to various regiments with this scroll, been around for years For genuine example see Tiger Petes Royal Sussex album

Hi Melg,

As has been said, it's a fake. I have one for reference and I think it's the same as the Marsh fake RSR badge.

The additional VB scroll should sit underneath the main one, not above. The only Sussex exception to this that I'm aware of being OSD collars to the 2nd VB shown in my album.

I hope this helps.

Kind Regards,

Pete
