A question for Hagwalther.
Hi Hagwalther.Just a obsevation on A/A J.R.GAUNT LONDON/BIRM ect slider marks.
I have observed that some are from the crown downwards and others start at the bottom of the slider going upwards towards the crown. My question is..... Dous this make any differance in authenticity on badges or is it just a manufacturng oddity. ?Please look at pic. maney thanks cheers |

Nothing to worry about. Sliders were punch stamped before attachment to the badge body and before anodising and colour dying. Suppose it just depended on which way round the punch or slider was when the stamping occurred. Regards Chris |

Again thank you for your replies to my questions.
I can not understand why some A/A badges are solid and would snap under pressure and i have noticed especially GUANT badges bend so easily. Why is this.? cheers |

Thickness of metal may have an effect and this changed over time - can't think why anyone would want to break one though. Regards Chris |
