Default Seaham WW1 Soldier

Today was a beautiful sunny day and I decided to grasp the opportunity to do something I have been meaning to do for two years.....In 2014, Seaham in County Durham became temporary home to a new sculpture (now christened as 'Tommy') to commemorate 100 years since WW1...the people of Seaham became so attached to Tommy that they raised £85000 to buy the sculpture to ensure it stayed in Seaham. He stands (or sits) at 9 feet 5 inches and he has aged very nicely (not unlike myself) and I am so glad I made the journey.....a very powerful and moving figure and quite beautiful!

Frank,

I know you would all agree, if it was £1,000,000 it would be worth every penny.
