Unknown to me bridle boss badge. Hopefully it's military & someone can identify it for me,

16th Lancers is ringing bells - but I may be wrong.......

Thought about it, yes, I reckon 16th Lancers but wait for comments from the Lancer experts.

Default 16th Lancers bit boss

Hi Colin, Yes Leigh has it spot on, in 1766 the 16th Lancers received the title of "THE QUEEN'S" at the behest of King George 111's consort, Queen Charlotte this is her cypher which is also seen on the left side of the collar badges of 16/5th Lancers. regards John

Hi Colin, After reading my post I should say sorry, that is known as an ear boss go's on the bridle. and not as I put bit boss in the title. regards John
