Default RNMBR

This one dropped through the door this week, I've seen plenty in the past that I would instantly consign to the restrike box, this one however is rather nice IMO!

It is also identical in construction to the one Tinto shows HERE

Any thoughts?

Andy

Hi Andy

There are numerous examples of this badge, however, I have never seen a photograph of one being worn, if anyone had a photograph I would love to see it.

I have an example which I found 20 years ago, unlike others I have seen, this one has loops and looks to be original, but without any photographs of where it was worn etc, it is hard to know what original is. Was it worn by a few officer's as a collar badge, similar to the RND? I do not know.

Hi Andy

Your photograph did not appear. Ratings (ordinary Seamen to Petty Officer's) would have worn the red cloth badge and Chief Petty Officer's the gold badge shown previous in this thread.
