Looks as though it might be Bucks Battalion. Any thoughts appreciated.

With thanks,

I agree, the Bucks battalion. It has that raised center dome.

Simon.

Hi Peter,

I was trying to see if I could make out the Shoulder Title. Could it be PIONEER, T6 or T8?

Would a member of a Pioneer Bn or Pl wear such a title if badged to an infantry Regiment?

Nice badge I think.

August 1914 : in Oxford. Part of South Midland Brigade in South Midland Division.

30 March 1915 : landed at Boulogne.

15 May 1915 : formation became the 145th Brigade in 48th (South Midland) Division.

November 1917 : moved with the Division to Italy.

I could quiet easily imagine the donkey as Italian!

It's the hairy armpits .

Seriously though, what about that numeral... 6? 8?

Nice set of Bucks badges there, Toby. Thanks for posting those.

Smile T/6

I think this is T/6/LONDON for the title, the cap badge fits as well.

I think you could well be right Rob, that S/T has been troubling me and London seems to fit nicely.

Very nice to see those impressive Bucks items in this thread though.

Regards

Ry

Rob,

There's a thought. Makes perfect sense and (as Rymond says) would fit in with the T6 S/T.

Well done that man.

I read it as T 6 E SURREY and the cap badge is K&K 1723 (Large Maltese Cross, Arms of Guildford in centre and no crown).

By coincidence see this recent thread!

Cool TF badge

Tim, I had thought of this, but was put off by what looks like a crown above the maltese cross, on reflection you are probably correct.

Nice to see a great selection of Bucks badges . . !

It looks like you've nailed it Tim.

If anyone would care to take a look at Matti 467's East Surrey album I think you'll agree.

Default Origination

On reflection Peter, I would say Tim is correct as the other cards you have shown are East Surrey Regt TF.

Gents,

Thanks to you all for your assistance on this one.

Now that it has been clearly pointed out, it seems patently obvious.

Well done Tim... you little Badgician, you!

Yes I know they're off the site Rob, I am not purporting that they are mine but I thought it would be useful to post them here for comparison with the photo. Hopefully no one is taking offence.
