Default 47th Division

I have seen a pair of 'star' patches described as 47th Div but am not sure when they were worn as such, perhaps pre or post WW2, but I know that in WW2 they wore the bow bells. Any info much appreciated.

That's a big thing now, people listing things that they don't know but stick a name on them anyway. I guess they sell better.

White star with blue centre on black disc on blue square on black diamond is the first pattern 47th. formation sign. Later it became the formation sign of the XXII Corps. Sigs. Reg. R. Sigs. T.A. John.

pair of 47th. div or XXIII signals badges. You asked to see close up of 3rd Armoured Group badge, I put it on the forum, have you looked at it. John.
