Default Malta Brigade insignia on MKII Helmet?

Not much luck on another thread of this forum, therefore I'm posting here once again the same question referring to the formation insignia painted on a MK II helmet coming from Malta. The triangles are split in two halves, white and red. As a matter of fact, white and red where the colours of the Malta Brigade device, apart form Malta's national flag, of course! Any hints? Thank you in advance for your help!

Default East Lancashire then?

One of the East Lancashire battalions had as an arm badge a diamond split in red/white: could possibly another East Lancashire battalion have a split triangle in the same colours?

Phil, the Polish Army made use of the national eagle badge, and of the Divisional devices, as long as I know, while the Czechs sported a roundel in their national colours, white/blue/red.
