Very old thread, but thanks Mick. I shall have to try and get to the Queensland Military Historical Museum and take a look.

Very keen to get hold of a 2LHR collar badge or similar, but there doesn't seem to be much about, even reproductions. I'll keep looking...

This badge was worn by the 2nd Light Horse militia regiment between 1912 and 1918.

There is no direct unit connection between them and the 2nd Light Horse AIF though some of the men in the unit may have enlisted in the AIF and severed in the 2ALH.

This also falls into the hen's teeth rare category - I've only ever seen 2 of these hat badges for sale in the last 15 years. I have never seen any collars or titles for sale and have been looking for them myself for last 10+ years.

This badge may also no longer be at the museum as I believe Leo Walsh sold of most of the badges there (they were from his collection) to another private collector.
