North Northamptonshire 2 Home Guard BD
Hello Gents,
Thought I'd share this BD I picked up recently from the family. The BD belonged to Lt George Shelton, of the 2nd Bn North Northamptonshire (Soke of Peterborough) which is very local to me. One of the best things is that you clearly depict the very same BD being worn in the newspaper cuttings. As a side note, is the NN2 insignia particularly scarcer than others? Hope you like it, Cheers, Tom |

Hello,
Very nice items. The designation "NN" according to the list in Coles "Formation Badges of WW2 " is for the whole of Northamptonshire. P.B.

2NN BD
Very nice. It looks to be an original 1939 pattern BD blouse as it has the flaps over the pocket buttons- later versions had these removed as an economy measure. The exception to this being some of the Canadian and War Aid USA manufactured items. Does this BD have a label inside?
