Pre-WWI Scottish Horse Badge
Most Scottish Horse badges that I have seen in this style are made of flimsy white metal. This one is a very stiff brass looking alloy. Does anyone have experience with this type of badge and if so, can you tell me if it is fake, restrike….or real?

Wrong metal and wrong font. sorry

Thanks. Gut....and few photos I had seen told me that was the case. But, always a good idea to double check before it goes in the cull-pile.
Thanks again, Shannon |

hi 17HLI
This may give some idea of the difference in font. This is the larger badge, approx. 47mm that corresponds to KK 1385. This one is in gilding metal. The smaller one being only in w/m according to KK. Re your 'handle', do you have an interest in the HLI? Mark |
