ME COMMANDO'S - SPANIARDS
I have been asked to identify the attached badge - which is said to have a Middle East Commando connection to Spaniards. Can any one assist please?
Please recall a number of Spaniards were recruited into 50 ME Cdo. Any help appreciated ... the Spaniard theory is unproven, and should be regarded as speculative pending research. CAN ANYONE DEFINITIVELY IDENTIFY THIS BADGE? and its date of production (may be a commemorative?) Any help appreciated. Mike |

It has been proposed this badge was a Prisoner Of War piece - I am seeking better photographs. Any thoughts appreciated.
Any ideas what the weapon is supposed to be crossing the ME Cdo knife to centre? Personally I remain dubious - but would welcome any thoughts by fellow members. Regards Mike |

It looks like a styalised Thompson SMG

I'd echo that, a very stylised 1928 Tommy, note fore grip, box mag, finned barrel and cutts compensator

Many thanks Simon and Paul - It will be good to get better images, including the reverse. I will share them here, if anything is forthcoming ...
