Rockape. Can you tell me more about the dating of the loops. There are two types on this badge one longer to reached in to the back of the crown and maintain a parallel split pin.

This badge was customarily worn with a rosette on the slouch hat but also as on this Boer War trooper and this Lieutenant's service hat in 1901 in the Transvaal.
