I wish there was a thread on modern Canadian Navy diver badges. I am particularly fond of the Canadian designs.

I agree with Jibba Jabba that some of the designs of the post integration period Canadian Forces (Navy) badges were quite good, so I thought I would pick up a few examples at the last show I attended & post in this thread.

This example is the 1st type CAF(N) SCUBA Diver badge. This badge is embroidered in gold wire similar to the pre 1968 RCN gold wire badges, but is embroidered on the green background for wear on the then new integrated CAF Green uniform.

Later issues of this badge can also be seen in gold thread embroidery which looked reasonably good, & a cheaper (& uglier) mylar type of embroidery, & this example does look terrible. I dont have an example of either at this time to show tho.
It is also seen as an enamelled metal pin back badge.
