Default I had a bit of a tidy up

I had a bit of a tidy up the other day and rearranged one of my cabinets.

This shelf represents the 1st VB/4th York and Lancs/Hallamshires and other Sheffield units.

Its not quite right though.

Ivan,
many thanks for sharing these, there are many hard to find items in the cases. You must be well pleased with these badges.
kind regards, Dave

Ivan,
superb! I'm surprised Mrs Ivan lets you have a cabinet in the house and not a shelf in the shed or man cave!

My wife said she did not want Military items on display in the house, so I towed the line

Thanks Andy. She's not a bad old gert really and I'm allowed this one cabinet in the living room.

It near to the TV so when I have to endure Emmerdale Street or Cowell's Got No Talent, it gives me something to look at while I pretend I'm interested in what she's watching.

Ivan

PS so does your house have loads of military items on display now????

No,
I got rid of the wife instead as collecting has far more plus points and they don't nag either! Still have not completely got rid of the mound in the middle of the lawn ...

As for non military items, I remembered that she was a "Buckshee" I'd acquired during service, so I duly complied with her instructions and sorted out the divorce "Pronto"!

A man has to have some pleasure in life apart from carrier bag fatigues and odd three minutes of Egyptian PT when the paracetamol occasionally wears off!

But on a serious note what a fantastic display!

Thanks for sharing!

Andy

Perhaps I could suggest a nice stone bird bath or sundial to sit on top of the mound? It would finish it off nicely.

Thanks for the compliments, it is very satisfying to be to just glance over from time to time and admire them.

Truly wonderful Ivan,

A joy to see such a lovely display, some really cracking pieces there.

A heartfelt 'WELL DONE'....

Cheers, Roy.
