Default Is This Jewish Enamelled& Silver Badge British ?.

My missus bought this badge for her small collection of Jewish badges about a year ago, Thing is we do not know if the badge is British or not.
Could any member with knowledge of these types of badges please tell us if it is British or is it a Johnny Foreigner ?.
The Item is solid silver [checked at our local jewellers] and obviously has the Blue enamelling. It really is quite a heavy item.

Hi,

British Army - Royal Army Chaplain’s Department: Jewish Chaplains badge worn 1940-1953. You’ll find an illustration on page 198, Plate 42 in John Gaylor’s “Military Badge Collecting” Revised Seventh Edition 2003. by Leo Cooper.

Regards,

Zob.

OTOH, not all six pointed stars are Jewish. Nigeria, and I think Jamaica and Palestine, used the pattern while British possessions.

I actually have on my key ring a West African penny [Nigeria, Ghana, Sierra Leone] from pre-independence. It has a hole in the center for those with no pockets and they're now attached to baskets, bracelets and so on in Nigeria. The Jamaican Police used and may still use the star too - its a nice symmetrical symbol to surround a central device. No hidden Zionism!

This badge is indeed the correct design of RAChD Jewish; however in silver/wm and blue enamel is unknown in RAChD. Maybe from the Colonies.
