Default Palestine Regiment slider

Hi guys,

Take a look at this:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/The-Palest...item1e83a16f6d

It looks just like the one from Saumua's album:

http://www.britishbadgeforum.com/for...pictureid=7857

Anyway, the badge in question is described by the vendor as having a thin slider. I was wondering for those that have held this badge if the slider is thin and round in any way like the one in the photo? or is a thin flat slider.
To keep things on track with the Regt in question I can show the Palestine Regt badge I have. I am interested in the construction of fixings for local cast badges from the Middle East and North Africa.

So to answer your actual question the slider is like your cast badge. I have a variety of sand cast NZ badges ex vets WW1 and WW2 that I can provide scans of. If you look at the 50-52 Commando thread in the British SF section you will see typical middle east sand cast copper lugs. These are 100% genuine direct from a NZ LRDG vet.
