ARP variant?
Hi all,
This badge surfaced locally. It would seem to be a variation on the standard silver, hallmarked badge. Not sure which country it hails from but there are at least 15,276 examples out there somewhere! Surplus to requirements, serious Home Front collectors can PM me! |

Can't say, but first blush tells me it is American due to the shape of the badge.

But surely, the American's would not use a crown on the badge unless it was used by American's living in the UK during WW11 similar to the Home Guard Sqn in London???

Hi
Thanks for your replies. I was wondering it it was maybe a "works" ARP badge. With a number as high as 15,000 it must have been a large organisation. Also the fact that it is numbered suggests some record was kept of its issue. |
