Default North Staffs Regt HPC question

Is there any actual difference -- size, shape, method of attachment, etc -- between the North Staffordshire Regt helmet plate centres issued pre 1902 (K&K 348) and post 190 (K&K 413)? I can't see any, but I'd like to know for certain. Thanks in advance for any information.
