If Henry Lyttel is 29 and the business making and selling fakes since at least 2005 when he was 14, then the father, Paul Lyttel is just as complicit.

Just noticed that the official statement /press release from Derbyshire Trading Standards actually identifies his link to the Badgeman2005 account unlike other reports.

I have the following aliases:
badgeman2005 badgeman2012 phoenix7799 These were in the name of Henry or Sheena Lyttel. Their business address was 158 Ashbourne Road, Mackworth Village, Derbyshire. |

Being unfamiliar with British legal practices, does the conviction not leave the Lyttel's open to suits for damages? Any who have bought from any of their various alias MAY have grounds for civil action to re-coup their losses.

Generally, these issues could be brought in the "small claims court". However, the individual would probably need to first attempt to resolve the matter with the seller with the threat of the civil court being mentioned if he does not settle. Not sure that there would be many on this forum who would need to resort to this. I'd be very surprised if there was anyone on here who had been daft enough to go near him with a barge pole. Dave. |

No shortage of original badges with their original footed copper loops, quite frankly, this clown has done very considerable damage, just by offering his wares because so many assumed they were original, without even mentioning his accessories.

I know there are, it makes it easier to solder if you keep the foot on but when you're trying to match the other one which doesn't have a foot then there's no option. Have you ever tried un-braizing a loop off of an original badge to use instead of buying ready made ones, it's impossible without a full welding kit ? |

I know several people who complained to eBay about the account still being open. All told me their initial responses even when showed the article was effectively ‘so what, what do you expect us to do about it?...’ When the point was laboured that the badgeman account was a vehicle in this fraud they agreed to close the account.
As always eBay willing to turn a blind eye until the last when it comes to fraudsters who make them money. |

Theft and deception upon a truly staggering scale, although, to be quite honest, I don't have a great deal of sympathy for the people who bought from him without doing a little bit of research and absolutely none whatsoever for others who knew exactly who they were buying from.
