Default Unknown clan badge

Hi All
Can anybody identify this clan badge please? The closest I have been able to find is Scottish Rite masonic badge, so maybe a masonic piper's badge?
Thanks, cheers,
Alex

That double headed eagle with "stubby" wings looks similar to that in the very old Kings Crown circular cap badge for Lanarkshire Constabulary (before the later "splayed wings with motto" version which was used for decades). Perhaps something connected to Lanark/Lanarkshire? Sorry cant help further.

Thanks Didier. I didn't see that when I was searching badges but I think it is too different to be clan Boyle. Looking closely, it appears to be coming out of water?
Cheers,
Alex

Hi Vigilo
Yes, I also thought a Lanarkshire connection but hadn't considered police.
Thanks, cheers,
Alex
