Rifle Brigade Belt Plate
Does anyone know why this plate has a blank scroll and not Waterloo?

Blank battle honour tablets, usually means either Militia, Volunteers or Territorials, the battalions that never fought there.
I think maybe Militia in this case. |

I agree a Militia PBP.
David Smith has an identical one but with a guelphic crown rather than KC. http://www.britisharmybadges.com/vie...h=55710&phqu=2 |

Thank you
Thank you. Must admit I didn't realise the Rifle Brigade had Militia battalions. Just googled it to check and you are absolutely correct.

That's lovely, one I wouldn't mind owning.
Note the centrepiece still has the Victorian crown. |

The regular Rifle Brigade plate from 1901 has a KC but the bugle horn in the centre is a Victorian crowned bugle. |

I'd like to see rear photos with the plate separated from it's backing, I think you're right, the curved rather than flat cushion.

Probaly a similar thing to the Queens Westminster QC one in the Rifles Museum,QC on top KC in the centre. |

Extra Photos
Thank you to everyone who has taken an interest on this badge. Belt plates are out of my area of expertise. I bought it at auction just as we were going into lockdown. No live bidders, just commission. Having it seen live and it had gone round before but this time with the reserve lowered.

Very nice and congratulations. Appears to be a bespoke made KC PBP rather than a conversion.
