Default Barrow & North Lonsdale V.T.C

Hi Gents,
Opinions wanted on this gilding metal cap badge to Barrow & North Lonsdale V.T.C.
This badge has been faked to death and is generally found in white metal.
My badge appears to be of a high quality and appears to be be a far superior strike than the white metal badges I have handled.
The gilding metal badge does have a lovely patina and I feel is period.

The badge has no lugs / slider & never has had any fittings on it.
There is also a cracked die or a tooling error? on the reverse of the badge from the inner circle to the letter "E" of Lonsdale.
Hopefully there is a V.T.C guru out there who can throw some light on this badge
Your opinions will of course be appreciated.
Colin
