Very fake I’m afraid.

Luke.
Is it a fake because of extra arrow slits/windows to front of castle and wrong lugs ?

These fakes are so different from both the genuine QVC glengarry and HPC’s in size and shape that I think they almost border on being a fantasy badge. In short everything about it is wrong.

This post shows the fake next to a genuine glengarry. I’m sure the difference will jump out better than I can explain or articulate.

JFenzy
If interested there is a very nice Victorian badge being sold on the forum at the moment. I would be very interested in it if I didn't have one myself.

I also thought it might be helpful to show a badge with a round bottom scroll just in case your conclusion from the thread was that all KOSB badges irrespective of the rank of wearer must have a flat bottom. The one I show is a fretted post 1902 Kilmarnock bonnet badge (KK239) and is in the middle of this old photo.

I don't wish to confuse though as the vast majority of OR's will have the flat bottom.
