There are hundreds of threads on this badge, if you search ‘LRDG’ or ‘Long’ and ‘Desert’ in the forum’s search function you will find many with in-depth analysis and explanation.

Hello Tom, if you can attach a picture of your LRDG I think you’d have your answer good or bad very quickly, I’ve a genuine one brought from a trusted member on the forum ,but there are many fake badges around and for sale unfortunately.

Default Another copy?

A friend of mine has been offered the attached badge for £200. I have told him from all the threads I've read, and all of the pictures I've looked at on this forum, that I'm pretty certain it's a copy; but I said I'd post the pictures to get a definitive answer for him from those that really know this subject.
Thanks in advance for any comments.

Many thanks, I'll let him know. I did tell him that (again from what I've read on this forum) that genuine ones appear to cost in the high hundreds range (if you can even find one), so I don't think he'll be too surprised to find out this one isn't the real deal!
