Mystery Badge
I have been asked to identify this cap badge, which appears to show a left-facing aninmal (a horse?) above a scroll with distinctive down-facing ends - something like the Lincolnshire Regiment, but not quite right. Could it be a Yeomanry badge?

I agree it looks something like a West Yorkshire badge, but the scroll is different, with two down-facing ends - perhaps one of the battalions had a slightly-different badge?

Yes it may not be I was just looking at the West Yorks badge when you posted and thought it was more down angled than the 3rd KO Hussars but others will know I am sure, cheers Dean

As I said in the initial post, the badge was "something like the Lincolnshire or West Yorkshire Regiments, but not quite right" - the scroll being the wrong shape. The West Yorkshire Regiment should look like this, with horizontal ends to the scroll.

That's exactly what it does look like. The West Yorkshire Regiment.

West Yorks. Badge could be bent-may have lost its tail, could be a trick of the light that makes it look a little odd- or a makers variation. Regards, Paul.
