Very fake sadly. There’s only 7 or 8 known original OR badges of this type. If you search ‘double scroll Nelly’ you should find thread where a single genuine officer’s badge and OR badge is shown.

The dates on the cap badge designs are odd. Is it your collection of badges?

Hi Alan,
Yes these are my property but they came with other stuff so they are as the last collector had them I don’t collect this type of Regiment, So I know nothing about them , the photo on the end is a screen shot of the same fake badge being sold on eBay by britishmilitarybadges Kind regards Chay |

The seller uses the phrases "Guaranteed original" and "This is original" in his description!

The first cap badge was introduced in 1898 which was the single scroll elephant.
The double scroll post dates the regimental change of title in 1902 to 19th (Alexandra, Princess of Wales's Own) Hussars. There is a photo of a silver hallmarked badge on the forum dating to 1903. However the Danneborg Cross design was introduced before the final title change in 1908 to 19th (Queen Alexandra's Own Royal) Hussars. It was this badge that was worn up to 1921. |

Not a dealer who’s say so or pricing I’d rely on. A genuine one is worth about £1,000.
