2nd Edinburgh Local Militia Button

Hi Gents,

Following on from my '100th' Militia Button, here is another new addition to share.

2nd Regt Edinburgh Local Militia. A lovely gilt example, no backmark on this example but thrilled with it non the less.

I'm always excited to get a Local Militia button as I have a special affinity for this short lived period but as I only have a few Scottish examples, it's an especially welcome addition.

You have an AWESOME collection of militia buttons. I especially like the Scottish ones. I too have an Aberdeenshire Local Militia button similar to yours, but drool over others in your collection. Thanks for posting pics of your wonderful collection!!

Thank you for those kind words, it's very much appreciated. I find of the joys of collecting is being able to share one's efforts and know other take enjoyment from them.

I only started collecting buttons a few years ago but must say it's been one of my enjoyable endeavors to date. Made all the easier by a few really good and knowledgable friends and forum members.
