Many thanks for that.

There's a "mystery" behind the badge, as the badge and a b/w photo are the only evidence of someone's parentage. The bloke's father was believed to have been a Pole, probably in the Air Force during WW2...

However, if the badge is ALFSEA, then it's most unlikely that a Polish airman would have been posted there.

Ah well, I think that the trail has long gone cold.
