Civil Defence Force Cairo 1939-45
From amongst a collection of colonial and overseas badges from the period of the Second World War that I have recently obtained is below illustrated cap badge of the 'Civil Defence Force, Cairo'.
This handsome die struck brass badge bears the corps legend around the logo of Cairo, the background is a 'Pyramid'. The badge has a long slider to reverse and bears no makers marks. Can anyone shed light on the history of this force, and or share any illustrations of members of the force wearing their inisignia ? Yours aye, Mark
