WELSH ASC SHOULDER TITLES

I think the debate is around the T/ASC/SOUTH WALES, T/ASC/HEREFORDSHIRE, T/ASC/GLAMORGAN and the existence of T/ASC/WELSH BORDER. I think the latter would almost certainly be of the company that served the brigade of the same name. I also believe that the T/ASC/GLAMORGAN would be to the South Wales Mounted Brigade following the convention of the T/RHA/GLAMORGAN to the same brigade. Perhaps both T/ASC/WELSH and T/ASC/HEREFORDHIRE were worn by the HQ company of the division, which leaves T/ASC/SOUTH WALES being of the brigade of the same name which was broken up. Westlake's book on the territorial force drew on (I believe as I don't have it in front of me) data from 1914, by which time the South Wales Brigade was contributing units to other brigades so it may have been missed in that regard, but deployed nonetheless.

Very interested to hear any thoughts on this.
