How"s this for provenance? gilt staybrite Umm al Qaiwain police. Has anybody got anything else to them, buttons, shoulder title? Anything?

Fantastic find, thanks for sharing Eddie, another to look out for. Any idea what the scroll says? And I assume (hope) they don't have an actual artillery badge as well to confuse the unwary/me?

The scroll says Shurta Umm al Qaiwain = UaQ Police. I don't think they had a uniformed army, but they did own a field gun, hence the badge.
