10th Hussars "X" collar badge 1900
Hi All
Just noticed this old VC series ciggy card and the 10th Hussars collar badge being worn is the Roman numeral. Was the collar just the standard "X" (as i have inset) in use at the time or was it a specific to the Regiment type?

Hi Griff,
Your collar badge is very similar to the side cap badge worn by the Lincolnshire Regiment (old 10th Foot) in WM (20x18.5mm) on long lugs subject to this thread. http://www.britishbadgeforum.com/for...t=Lincolnshire The Indian army X badges are the same thickness on each arm and there are Metropolitan police shoulder numerals that are an X as well. Size and arm thickness not known. Cheers Dean |
