As a Rifle Corps, surely the 1st Volunteer Battalion, Kings Liverpool Regiment had a maltese cross helmet plate ?

Besides your observation, I believe there are 4 toooooo many holes in the plate, as can be seen in the reverse picture and the Honi Soit inscription isn't upto the standard I'd expect to see on a genuine Officers' plate. Regards Brian. |
