2 Cap badges use passes into history
The South Notts Hussars (SNH) and Sherwood Rangers Yeomanry capbadges have been used by Notts ACF up to the last week.
Now the Sherwood rangers ACF detachments will be badged Royal Yeomanry and the SNH to the Royal Artillery. The SNH were one of the Yeomanry's converted to RA in the 20's. The acorn badge has been in use by the reserves unit and by the cadets in different forms until this week. |

Thank you for that info, didn’t know that had happened. Makes sense as SNH no longer exists and the detachments were affiliated to 307 Battery RA when I worked with Notts ACF. SRY (Army Reserve) adopted the RY cap badge years ago, it was inevitable that SRY ACF detachments would follow

The Royal Yeomanry seem to have been on a quest to re-badge their cadet affiliated detachments

.. Yes. Not sure about our LDY cadets ... I have not heard anything yet? But I am sure they will become "Borg" as well.
