Default LI or Rifles

Can anyone ID these badges I think they are either Light Infantry or Rifles but I can’t find any thing in these colours.
TIA

Neither, it is thought that they may be prototypes for the Royal Gurkha Rifles. I have not found any proof of that, but that was the idea that came to most.

Here is my 'set'. Came from MOD disposals via dealer Andy Garrett about eight years ago.
Theory was RGR trial pattern but no evidence except a reference to 'Royal Gurkha Rifles, red and black on Rifle Green NSN 8455-99-131-8401 D00396 Pipes and Drums No.3 Dress.'
